Senior Solicitor – Property and Construction Litigation
We are a busy litigation and disputes resolution practice best known for our work in the construction disputes / leaky buildings / class actions fields. Our clients range from private home owners to body corporates and we act for a number of large construction companies.
We also act for owners/businesses affected by the Public Works Act. We have expertise across a broad range of areas including property litigation, insurance and advice in relation to body corporates.
We are looking for a senior solicitor to join our team with an immediate start. The work itself will be a combination of legal work and a high level of client contact. The role will require you to draft submissions, manage files, liaise with clients and other parties, and attend mediation and Court hearings.
As the successful candidate, you will have between 4-8 years’ PQE, although more senior solicitors may also be considered. You will ideally have construction or insurance litigation experience, and experience in the High Court and Weathertight Homes Tribunal. You may have a Masters Degree in Law. Having another degree in Commerce (BCom), Property (BProp), or Planning (BPlanning) is also an advantage.
You will demonstrate a client focused work history and show an astute sense of business acumen. You will display an enthusiastic confident personality and have a great work ethic with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). You will have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all that you do. You will be reliable and must be able to work independently as well as having the ability to manage a varied work load effectively.
